In Gathering Storm, the Knight no longer totally dominates the Medieval battlefield, as it now has competition in the form of the Courser, the new Medieval light cavalry unit. With its superior Combat Strength, a force of Knights can lay waste not only to armies, but also to poorly defended cities. A veritable mountain of iron armor equipped with a sharp lance, the Knight is a specialist in charging and breaking the enemy line. The Knight is the most powerful standard land unit up until the Renaissance Era, being slightly weaker only to Pikemen with their special bonus against cavalry. It upgrades to a Cuirassier, and requires 20 Iron to train.

In the Gathering Storm expansion, the Knight's Production cost is increased from 180 to 220, its Gold purchasing cost is increased from 720 to 880, and its Gold maintenance cost is increased from 3 to 4. It upgrades from the Heavy Chariot (or its replacements, except the Maryannu Chariot Archer), the Hetairoi, or the War-Cart and requires Iron. The Knight is a Medieval Era heavy cavalry unit in Civilization VI. Whatever you unlock on your units you can buy for yourself and equip and up to 4 weapon slots.Hard-hitting, Medieval era heavy cavalry unit. Storage - This is where all your crap is stored. The better the officer the more they cost. Obviously with some drawbacks to balance them out. They allow you to make specific formations that'll enhance your troops for situations. Think of them like officers you had in groups of Total War. Simple.Īdjutants - These are your second in command that you have no control over. Choose your flag, motto and go on from there.

For 500 gold coins which you can unlock in-game without buying by doing the tutorials or other special events. Wu - Specialize in two-handed weapons and archery ĬOMING SOON Rome - Romany stuff Exploit Store/Storage/Adjutants/LegionsĮxploit store - This is where you go after dueling other players to buy any of this equipment. Shu - Specialize in close combat and crossbows I would say you better go around getting SS ranks in all the tutorials 'cos you get loads of gold, copper and prestige from that. Starting off you'll be choosing what unit you want, going in to battle and levelling up and learning as you go. You won't lose so long as you stick together and gank the enemy. If you don't like swarms of units you can always just dive straight in to PvP with your buddies but it's not the best since it doesn't care about what gear you're wearing, you'll be thrown to a load of people 10x higher than you. When I started the game I was already level 5 in the first hour of playing so it doesn't take long at all. You can make a group in the game for up to five people for competitive matches and you must reach level 5 to be in it. Sometimes it can be one rank higher but that's rare.

Rank 3 unit would be with 3-4 rank games, etc. So if I took a ranked 2 unit I'd be put in the 1-2 rank games. Units are ranked 1-9 and the game makes sure to put you with close-to equal or fully equal armies so you're not getting hammered by the enemy.

Your units will gain experience the more well they do in battle and you can 'buy' skills and more armour for them before upgrading higher up the food chain. You make your avatar and take him in to battle along with four other people all of who bring their own units. The translation on the game isn't the best but you soon come to get used to it. It's F2P, the combat is fun and basically handles like a Mount & Blade game. Thought I'd show this off 'cos so far I'm having loads of fun.
